The Resurrected Jesus
I Corinthians 15:1-8
Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then He appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared also to me. Here we have a witness from one of those who actually saw the resurrected Jesus (face to face). Can you imagine putting that back into the box? Once you talk to a dead man you cannot take that back! Why is the world so quick to dismiss the testimony from someone who was there and believe the ‘facts’ from those who weren’t?
Father, help me to live and act on the TRUTH of Jesus’ resurrection!
Why is it that so many can believe so many things, but for some reason, so many cannot believe the word of God. Let me encourage you today, to stay in God’s word, His truth. He died and rose from the dead for ALL.
“but God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
